Seeking a contract counselor to join our team!

TFCC offers services to individuals, couples, and families of all walks of faith. All members of our staff are Christians, and provide an individualized response to the faith-based needs of our clients. Endorsed and recommended by pastors and health care professionals across the community, TFCC has had a long-standing and stellar reputation for providing Christian Counseling since 1987.

We currently offer a comprehensive range of services, including:

  • Individual Counseling
  • Couple, Premarital, Marriage, and Family Counseling
  • Children and Adolescents
  • Grief and Loss
  • Parenting
  • Divorce, Remarriage, and Blended Families

We pride ourselves in fostering a collaborative work environment that allows us to deliver clinically sound, goal oriented, and faith-based services across our range of clientele. Our staff members provide counseling and skill development through individual or group sessions to assist clients in reaching their counseling goals.

TFCC has well-established referral sources from area churches, schools, and doctors. However, you will be expected to proactively develop your own areas of expertise, and cultivate your own sources of client referrals from within the community.

Additionally, the ideal candidate will:

  • Be licensed in the state of Michigan (LLPC OR LPC)
  • Possess 2-4 years of experience in the mental health field
  • Be a self-starter and able to work independently
  • Will have experience with CBT and Solution-Focused treatment modalities
  • Possess expertise in one or more of the following areas:
    1. Child and Adolescent Issues
    2. Trauma
    3. Substance Abuse and Addictive Behaviors (CAADS preferred)

You can expect to work a minimum of 2-3 days per week, and provide both daytime and evening availability for client appointments. Within that framework, you will set your own work hours and schedule your own appointments, achieving an average of 15-20 client sessions per week.

Job Requirements:

As a member of the Trinity Family Counseling Center staff, you will be expected to:

  • Initiate prompt response to new client inquires
  • Schedule your own client appointments
  • Manage client records in an online EMR system
  • Attend regularly scheduled staff meetings
  • Regularly contribute content to the TFCC website by writing articles and blog posts
  • Actively participate in ongoing marketing efforts in your niche areas
  • Secure client payments and maintain accurate income records [TFCC is a private pay practice; no insurance billing]
  • Possess strong case conceptualization skills
  • Manage your own caseload from initial consultation through termination

If you currently have a limited license (LLPC), on site supervision will be provided by the Practice Director.
